Very Busy All the Time

My Lovely Bride has encouraged me countless time to create a blog detailing some of the many projects I seem to be juggling at any given Moment.

Whats my standard answer...Too Busy. So with a little down time here goes.

Projects in the works at the moment:

After quitting smoking this winter I started a Phil Bolger designed Teal.
Why the Teal? It is almost all glue and screw construction, and it would fit in the workspace. Today I made the mast and boom. Yes there will be pictures to follow.

I still have to carve out 2 Canvasbacks for friends. The patterns are drawn, now to make them look like something other than two blocks of wood. Here is what the last one looked like. Ooops it's up above isn't it?
I also have a 10 ga in pieces that I am supposed to fix for a friend. The stock is split in two, and the old repair wasn't worth a damn, so it's sitting there waiting for a thru bolt to repair. Thank God it's a wall hanger and isn't fired.
Come to think of it, the forend for the 16 ga ,inlaid with a piece of rosewood, need a couple more coats of oil too.
My shop right now is in disarray, a shelf exceeded its load limit, so finding anything is a challenge.
And then there is the BIG Important project......The Kitchen. We did a complete facelift of the kitchen this month, trying to live out of it as well. The best/worse part was putting the dishwasher in where no dishwasher has gone before! Sawzall to the rescue! At one point I had what was the counter, and is again, secured by one single nail.
All I could do was laugh.
Oh yeah, I need to get a pair of boxes made for a bag toss game and a shot luge (yes shot luge, I didn't know what one was either) done for the Fourth of July. Party is on the third, don't forget!
Alright I'll be back to let you know how things worked out, and the next project.
